About

An advocate, sitting beside you.

Buying a home is one of the largest financial decisions most people ever make — and it arrives as a stack of dense paperwork, often days before closing, when you have the least time and the least leverage. Home Advocate exists to make that moment calmer and clearer.

What we do

Your first mortgage offer (the Loan Estimate) and your final terms (the Closing Disclosure) are standardized federal forms. The numbers on them often move between the two — sometimes for good reasons, sometimes not. Home Advocate compares them, tells you in plain English what changed and what it means, flags fees that generally aren't supposed to increase, and writes you a short message to send your lender. It takes about a minute.

What makes us different

We're not a lender, a broker, a law firm, or a lead-generation site dressed up as a helper. We don't sell you a loan, and we don't sell you to anyone else. Our value is simple and singular: help you understand what you're about to sign.

Home buying is our starting point, not our limit. Over time, the same approach — an independent, plain-English second opinion — can help people understand other big financial decisions. But we intend to earn that trust one decision at a time, beginning here.

A note on our name

An advocate is someone who is unambiguously on your side. That's the whole idea. When you read your closing paperwork at your kitchen table the night before signing, you shouldn't have to wonder whether the person explaining it to you gets paid when you say yes. With Home Advocate, you don't.
