Why we never sell your data
Most of the free tools around a home purchase make their money from you without you realizing it — by selling your information to lenders, or by steering you toward whoever pays them. We refuse to build that company.
The short version
We can't misuse what we never receive
The strongest privacy promise isn't a policy — it's an architecture. Home Advocate runs entirely in your browser. There is no account to create, no document to upload, and no place to enter your name, address, Social Security number, or bank details. The numbers you type are used to do the math on your own device and are not stored or transmitted anywhere. Close the tab and they're gone.
That means there is no database of your financial information for us to sell, leak, or hand over — because it doesn't exist.
Why this is the whole business, not a feature
Our only job is to be on your side. The moment we take a payment to recommend a lender, or sell your details to one, we stop being your advocate and become another party with something to gain from your signature. Trust, once sold, can't be bought back. So we've made it a founding rule rather than a marketing line.
What about analytics?
To improve the product, we may count anonymous, non-personal usage signals — for example, how many people finish a review, or which kinds of findings are most common. These signals never include the numbers you entered, any financial values, or anything that identifies you. We use no advertising trackers.
Our permanent commitments
- We will never sell your data — to lenders, advertisers, data brokers, or anyone.
- We will never take a payment to recommend a provider.
- We will never train AI on your information without clear, opt-in consent.
- We will never put your sensitive data in a log, an analytics event, or an AI prompt.
- We will never make it hard to leave — there's nothing to delete, because we keep nothing.
